Lana & Sam!

Here is a slightly dated picture of Lana, Sam & Katie. (Lana is the kids' nanny.) We all love her - parents and kids! Katie doesn't look particularly amused in this picture, but she is all smiles when she sees Lana in the morning.

Look at my tonsils!

This is my current favorite picture of Katie. She went through a brief phase of sticking her tongue out a lot. Now she's into sticking her lower lip out and blowing raspberries or sucking in her lips into a fish pucker.

Happy Easter from Katie!

We had a delightful first Easter. Grandma came up to visit, the Easter Bunny came and Mommy got to eat lots of sugar. Katie even had her first hard boiled egg (yolk only) in honor of the day. Katie was puzzled by the ears. She kept trying to take them off to look at them and chew on them.

It took only a week or two for Katie to go from hestitant movements to belly crawling ("commando") to tentative real crawling to moving a mile a minute. Konrad remains her most favorite target. She'd follow him around for hours...

Katie has a developed a fondness for both her rubber duckies and for splashing in her bath tub. She always has at least one duck in her hands at all times. Our other fuzzball child/cat also loves the bath and pays Katie a visit.

Mealtime is a full family affair. Katie is amazing us with her ability to pick up puffs by herself and get them (mostly) into her mouth!
